Young girl writes heartwarming letter to new student in class

Being the new kid in school can be very intimidating, especially if you have moved from a country that speaks a different language.

Amanda Moore, who is a young student, recently reached out to Rafael, the new kid in her class, and sent him a note.

Rafael, whose first language is Spanish, was new to her school and had been eating lunch alone every day.

Amanda used Google translate to write a sweet note to this new boy, in his native language.

The letter read "Would you like to sit with me today? Look for me and I will show you where I sit. We can colour or simply tell scary stories. Thank you for your time, signed Amanda."

Kimber Kinard, proud mum of 10-year-old Amanda, was so moved by her daughter's gesture, that she shared the story on her Facebook page.

The post received over 1000 likes and hundreds of shares, with many people commenting on this wonderful young girl.

Amanda and Rafael have since become great pals, and even went trick-or-treating together on Halloween.

SHARE if young Amanda's kindness inspires you.
