Whaaa?! THIS is why the toy egg in a Kinder Surprise is yellow
Kinder Surprise: the one treat you actually don't mind buying your child because there is more toy than chocolate!
And the fact that the little plastic toy keeps them entertained for at least ten minutes.
But have you ever wondered why the container inside the egg is yellow?
No, us neither!
Just learned the inside of the Kinder Egg is yellow cause its meant to be the yolk…. ah here, its fairly obvious now :O

However, it seems some people have, and Twitter is now buzzing with the realisation that it is that colour for a reason.
And the reason?
The little capsule is meant to represent the YOLK in an egg.
I've just realised the surprise inside of a kinder egg is yellow because it's supposed to be the yolk and I feel so smart pic.twitter.com/mcHZZxpUNI

Yup, we had a "oooooh" moment too.
And while our minds have been blown by this revelation… we are now craving a Kinder Surprise, but the shop's miles away.
Still baffled that the yellow container in the kinder egg chocolate is the "yolk" of the egg

Us too, Matt. Us too.
The fact that the kinder egg toy shell is yellow so it looks like a yolk has blown my mind
