We've heard of some odd gender reveal ideas, but THIS is the weirdest
Gender reveal ideas have been getting more and more unconventional, from exploding boxes of blown-up baby balloons, fireworks and even dogs announcing the news.
One popularised method of revealing a baby's gender is in the form of a cake, but parents-to-be are now revealing the gender in an entirely different way, involving pasta, food dye and carbohydrate
'Gender reveal lasagna' is the newest trend to hit expectant parents, but we're not sure this new craze will actually catch on.
Now an Italian restaurant is baking lasagnas for parents-to-be to declare the gender news, and we don't quite know what to make of this.
Villa Italian Kitchen are a chain of restaurants headquartered in New Jersey, who are dying the inside of their pasta dishes pink or blue.
The gendering of colour continues, with blue for a boy and pink for a girl, as per the usual tradition.
It's safe to say that the online community have reacted badly to the news.

People are not fans of the notion of possibly eating turquoise food, seeing as the colour blue is normally an appetite suppressant.
There's also a high chance of being sent a regular lasagne despite ordering a gender reveal one, and then red becoming the colour of the confused gender.
The kitchen's package also includes garlic rolls and a choice of Greek or Caesar salad, with each gender-reveal lasagna made to order with imported Italian pasta, Alfredo sauce, ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, according the company's statement.
“Creating the Gender Reveal Lasagna was so much fun,” Stephanie Beamer, division vice president of franchising and catering, claims in the statement.
“We can’t wait to see all the videos of guests revealing their babies’ genders to family and friends in such a unique way.”
Unique is the choice word in that sentence. What do you think of the idea?
