Truck driver gives mum a $2,000 tip for the most incredible reason
Brenda Pearson is a waitress at 4 Star Diner, Mississippi, and had to work a shift on Mother's Day – but we're pretty sure she's glad she did after hearing this story.
Mum-of-two Brenda was serving David Platt, a trucker who popped in for something to eat. However, due to the cooks getting the order wrong, his cheeseburger was late being served.
But David didn't kick up a fuss or complain. In fact, he did the complete opposite: he gave Brenda a $1,000 tip.
The first time…
When he returned to the diner to buy himself a cheesecake, he gave her ANOTHER $1,000.

Why?
Because, as David told KFSM, "money is just paper or numbers on a screen. Self-gratification only goes so far. So, when you’re helping another person, you’re adding something to the world. It’s an investment, and people, people are what’s important."
David and Brenda had struck up a conversation while he was waiting for his order and it was here that he got the impression that things were pretty hard for her and her two children.
And he wanted to help her out.
What an incredible man; fair play to him for wanting to help Brenda out.
