Three-year-old girl interrupts police officer's dinner for a very sweet reason

A three-year-old girl in Hingham, Massachusetts, unexpectedly sat down with a local policeman for dinner recently – and we are bawling. 

Steven Dearth was at a table eating his food in the local Panera Bread restaurant when little Lillian came over to join him.  

And the reason?

The youngster had been having dinner with her parents when she noticed Sgt. Dearth was sitting on his own, and decided that he shouldn't have to eat alone. 

The entire event was captured on the restaurant's CCTV, and when Hingham Police Department released the footage on their Facebook, they wrote: “A very adorable and very outgoing Lillian with Sgt. Steven Dearth having the best dinner date ever”.
