This young boy is selling all of his toys for the sweetest reason

They say that dogs are man's best friend.

And that is certainly the case for Connor Jayne from New York.

The 10-year-old is as thick as thieves with his dog, a 4-year-old Doberman named Copper.

For the past four years, Copper has been Connor's emotional support dog.

According to WRIC, Connor suffers from PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, chronic headache disorder as well as suffering from nocturnal seizures.

“One night Copper begin barking at the door and I assumed the dog needed to go out, instead the dog ran to Connor’s room and I was actually able to see my son having seizure activity, I would have never known,” said Connor’s mum, Jennifer Jayne.

Copper began limping at the end of 2017, which turned out to be early signs of something known as Wobbler's disease.

Wobbler's affects the spine and discs in the back.

Treatment as well as an MRI scan were too expensive for Connor's parents.

On hearing that his beloved dog needed help, Connor came up with a plan to have a yard sale and sell off his toys to help make up the money.

“He was quite the little salesman,” Jayne told Inside Edition. “He said the dog was more important than any toys.”

''He's my best friend,'' he said of his dog.

A GoFundMe page has also been set up for Copper, and so far almost $18,000 has been raised.

The family remains hopeful that Copper will get treatment and make a full recovery.

Well done Connor and get well soon Copper!
