This rescue dog was in love with his human sister before he even met her

Rescue pup Jpeg fell in  love with his little sister before he ever even met her. 

Baby Addie was born premature, and so she spent the first eight months of her life in hospital. 

When Addie's parents would come home in the evening, having spent the day in hospital, Jpeg would know right away.

“His love for her started even before she came home,” Stephanie Durfee, Addie and Jpeg’s mom, told The Dodo.

She went on to explain that “when she was in the ICU, I would bring home her blanket that she was swaddled in that day, and he would get excited, smell it and sleep on it."

Stephanie admitted that she was slightly concerned bringing the baby home, as Jpeg was very much a puppy. 

However, the Jpeg calmed down as soon as little Addie was home, and was "beyond gentle” with his new sister.  

The pair have since been inseparable, with Jpeg always keeping a watchful eye on his beloved little sister. 

Stephanie spoke about the relationship between these two besties, saying that "he is the only one she reaches for, when he comes near her, she smiles."
