This girl was disqualified from a boxing match for wearing a hijab
Last week 16-year-old Amaiya Zafa was due to fight in a National boxing competition in Florida, when officials called off the match.
Amaiya's opponent, Aliyah Charbonier, was declared the default winner of the match.
Why though?
According to USA Boxing, Amaiya's clothing violated the sport’s dress code, and so she was declared the loser.
The young boxer was going to fight while wearing a hijab, a long-sleeved shirt, and leggings under her headgear and uniform, due to the fact that she is Muslim and her religion requires her to be fully covered.

What happened next though, was truly amazing.
Amaiya told The Washington Post that: “This girl comes up to me then and puts her belt in my lap and says, ‘This is yours. They disqualified you. You’re the true winner. This is unfair.’"
"Then we started hugging each other, and the owner of the event came and got me to make sure I got a belt” she continued.
Rather than accepting her "win", Aliyah decided that the situation was unfair, and chose to share her win with Amaiya.
What a wonderful thing do do!
