This mum started making Mommy Hearts to help her son feel better – and they’re fab

This is so sweet, and such a brilliant idea.

When Jessie Dockins’ son was having a tough time adjusting to daycare, the mum knew she had to do something to help him.

So, in a bid to help him feel better when he was struggling with the separation, Jessie made him a Mommy Heart: a tiny felt heart.

Telling him that it represented Mummy, Daddy and his brother, the youngster gave it its sweet name, and became quite attached to it.

In fact, the little boy now brings the heart everywhere with him, finding comfort in the soft toy.

“His teachers have all commented on how much comfort it brings him throughout the day,” the mum explains on her Facebook page.

“He even wanted to hold it at the doctor's office (and I was standing right there!). Needless-to-say, I’m addicted to making them!”

And she is!

Jessie now makes the tiny hearts for children all over America, who are struggling with transitions or who just miss their mum.

Such a wonderful idea.
