This little girl dresses up as inspirational women for a pretty incredible reason
Scout Larson may be just three-years-old but she is already inspiring women all over.
Why?
Because with the help of her mum she is showing the world that all women are fighters.
When her grandmother Nonnie was diagnosed with cancer, Scout became very concerned about her.
So, in a bid to help her through the tough time, Ashley Larson, Scout’s mum, decided to show her that women are fighters, and started the hashtag #scoutstolemystyle.
In the series, Ashley helps her daughter dress up as inspirational women (both real and fictional) in a bid to understand the power of the female.
She wears similar clothes as the person she is emulating and poses exactly like them; the pictures are raw, real and incredibly striking.
In a piece she recently wrote for Bored Panda, Ashley said that she chose famous and fierce women to “teach [Scout] about the strength that women have.”
Ashley explains: “We had put together a list of people to shoot and I taught Scout a little bit about each person. We then chose the photo we wanted to replicate together. We worked on the project for a little under a year – throughout the diagnosis, treatment, and mastectomy surgery.”
Throughout the process, Scout, who dressed up as Malala Yousafzai and Disney’s Moana, learned about how amazing women are: both in real life and in fiction.
