This Elf on the Shelf is what dreams are made of- except he's real
With Christmas only around the corner, we're fast approaching the end of the Elf on the Shelf for this year (audible sigh of relief).
However real your little ones might think their Elf is, well all know whose been behind those exhausting Elf routines, the parents.
Dad-of-five and photographer, Alan Lawrence has figured out a way around that though, by having a real life Elf.
Okay, it's not a real Elf, it's his youngest son, Rockwell.
A professional photographer, Lawrence first went viral back in 2015, with a series of adorable snaps featuring the mischievous baby Rockwell.
Luckily for us, and the Internet, rock the Elf has made a reappearance this year, and continued to be a fun-filled as ever!
The family had never had an Elf on the Shelf before, but Alan told Popsugar Moms he was always intrigued by the idea:
"One day someone told us that Rockwell looked like an elf and the idea came to me. What if a real life elf came to live with us for the holidays, and how would I react in real life to having it show up to live with us?"
He's even started a series of videos where the trouble-making elf wrecks havoc on the household:
Lawrence is no stranger to crazily inventive photo shoots, he's also created a series of pictures where his other son, Will, who has Downs Syndrome , can fly.
The spirit of Christmas fun!
