This 9-year-old uses his Make-A-Wish to do the most selfless thing
Javier Amos is a young boy who has been battling leukaemia.
Fortunately, he is now been given the all-clear and he is in remission.
And in his home of Watertown, South Dakota, this nine-year-old is celebrating in the best way possible – by throwing a party for his whole school.
The party is all thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, who recently approached his family to grant him any wish he wanted.
Javier could have picked anything – a trip to Disneyland or meeting someone famous.
But he wanted a pizza party for him and all of his schoolfriends – how sweet!
Make-A-Wish South Dakota Program Services Director Joe Evenson said, ''out of all the wishes we have granted, this has got to be one of the most unique ones.''
"For a kid his age to be able to do what he’s doing today, he could have literally went anywhere in the world, chosen to met anybody he wanted to or had anything he wanted."
Battling lymphoblastic leukemia for the past year, #WatertownSD third-grader Javier Amos could have had any wish granted. Instead, he chose to use his wish granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation to throw a pizza party for his friends and schoolmates. https://t.co/xBPqJW3Win pic.twitter.com/HxmbHIW48M

At the end of the school day, students and staff came to the playground area armed with signs and costumes and there was even a police escort for Javier.
The party, which lasted for two hours, included pizza, zoo animals, bouncy castles, laser tag, and other games.
A video of the party was uploaded to Facebook and the reaction it got was amazing.
People were commenting about how brilliant Javier was for choosing to do something so selfless.
One wrote, ''what a sweet young man! Amazing example of generosity'' while another said, ''this is the best wish ever. What a great young man!''
Well done Javier – we hope you continue to get better and have fun with your friends.
