This 100-year-old man reveals the secret to a long life and you'll be so surprised

Good news, dessert-lovers!

One man, who has reached the ripe old age of 100, has revealed his secret to such a long life.

And it's never skipping dessert!

Lesley Hayman, who is a retired baker, says he is still fit and it's all thanks to his ‘tremendous appetite’ which has always kept him at a healthy weight.

This love of all things sweet began when he was 12-years-old and started working in the family business.

And now? The great-grandfather-of-ten wouldn't miss his apple pie, sponge cake or chocolate brownie after dinner.

His daughter-in-law Jennifer has said, ''Les has a tremendous appetite and loves his food. It’s incredible really, he never leaves anything and never skips dessert. He is active and you’ll still find him out doing the gardening.''

Hayman’s bakery, where Lesley worked, was founded by his grandfather, George Hayman, in 1890 which made Lesley the third of five generations that worked for the bakery.

He signed up to join the army when World War Two broke out but luckily he returned to baking when it was over.

Married twice, he is a father of three, grandfather of five and great-grandfather of ten.

Having just celebrated the milestone birthday with his friends and family, we have no doubt that he'll be tucking into some dessert as a toast!
