These pictures show just how different breastfeeding is for every mum

Breastfeeding creates a truly incredible bond between Mum and Baby, but not everyone has the same experience.

Some mums can struggle with a lack of supply, some can feel pain, others can be made feel that breastfeeding is something that should be hidden, while many enjoy the experience so much they nurse their babies until they are toddlers or even older. 

It's different and personal for every family. 

And the same can be said for those who decide to bottle or combination feed.

To celebrate the start of World Breastfeeding Week, we are sharing pictures of nursing mums in a bid to highlight just how different feeding is for each and every one of us.

4. First feed at 14 weeks

 

After 92 days of pumping and NICU visits (with another child at home!), Jess was finally able to experience her first breastfeed. Theodore was born at 23 weeks at just 582g, and is now 14 weeks old (37 weeks gestation) & 2785g. This was such a euphoric moment for Jess and what an incredible photo to document it.
