The reason this photograph has made a mum's day is beyond beautiful
Children with autism can often endure a meltdown in the most serene environments.
They can't help but engage in certain behaviours, as they experience difficulties communicating and forming relationships with people, their social skills often at a minimum.
Children with autism are sometimes overwhelmed by sounds, light, textures, and smells, their senses much stronger than ours.
So when, Gayna Pealling, was travelling with her two children on board a train, she was anxious that her son, an autism sufferer, would be OK.
For the first part of their journey, her little boy was fine, chatting away to a couple who were sitting beside them.
However, within moments, Gayna's son began to have a meltdown on the crowded train, but Mum wasn't expecting the next part of their journey.
A young man, Dan, who was sitting across the way began to distract her son, beginning to play games with both her children.
Gayna exclaimed: "Omg this guy is my hero. […] He calmed my son down and the train journey was perfect."
Autism is often referred to as a hidden disability because people on the spectrum show no physical signs of difference to their peers, it is their behaviours which stand out.
However, it can be hard for parents to monitor behaviours, especially in certain surroundings, so when Dan came to the rescue on the train, he became this mum's hero.
"Thank you to this man you really don't know how much I appreciated your help," cried Gayna.
We're so happy to hear there are people out there who are always willing to help – such a kind man.
