'Thank you for all you do!': Ambulance crew get breakfast paid for by anonymous recovering addict
An ambulance crew was left in shock the other day when they went to pay for their meal and were told that it had already been taken care of.
The group of EMTs had enjoyed a well-earned breakfast of delicious pancakes after a long overnight shift.
The medic, who belong to Toms River First Aid Squad of New Jersey, dined at an iHOP.
Instead of getting the check for the food, they were handed a receipt with ''Thank you for all you do! Have a great day! – Recovering Addict'' scrawled on it.
They then realised that this person had paid for their $77 breakfast.

Captain Alyssa Golembeski was one of the group members, who says that they tried to ask the manager who the anonymous benefactor was, but the manager refused to divulge.
“It was just a reminder that there is still so much good in the world. The note and paying for our breakfast…we are a boisterous bunch but that brought our table to complete silence,” Alyssa said to nj.com.
Although they were in the dark as to who the person was, the First Aid Squad posted the note on Facebook, thanking the person for her kindness and wishing her a speedy recovery.
“This gift was amazingly thoughtful, and brought our table of tired EMT's to tears,” the squad wrote.
“We are so blessed to be able to serve you and everyone else who lives and works in the greater Toms River area. Good luck on your journey of recovery!”
The reaction on social media was overwhelmingly positive.
One person wrote, ''good luck to the anonymous woman as her journey of recovery continues. Thank you to all first responders who serve the public.''
''It is so nice to see in a world of turmoil there are still thoughtful and caring people,'' another said.
It seems that a simple act of kindness can go a long way – so why not carry one out yourself?
