Star's son involved in racing car crash
It has been a traumatic year for them, so we can’t imagine how terrified the family of racing driver Michael Schumacher must have been this week.
According to reports, the Formula One driver’s 15-year-old son, Mick, was involved in a car crash after his vehicle skidded off a speedway track at the weekend.
The incident, which occurred at the Lausitzring track in Brandenburg, is said to have happened while the teen was participating in a practice session.
In the report published by Die Welt, Mick is said to have ended up on the gravel at the side of the road and, thankfully, has not been injured.
The incident comes just days after it was revealed that Mick has followed in his father’s footsteps in the Formula One world, having signed with Dutch team Van Amersfoort Racing.
Needless to say, there was major concern for Mick’s well-being, particularly in light of his father’s current condition. The 46-year-old continues to recover after being involved in a skiing accident in the French Alps in 2013.
We are so relieved to hear that Mick is alright, and our thoughts continue to be with the Schumacher family.
