Son gets his mum's last note to him tattooed on his chest, and it's pretty incredible
Thomas Resch, 21, sadly lost his mum, Deborah, just last week.
Deborah passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest – her second in just a few months.
The pair had been incredibly close and Thomas was left devastated by her death.
On the day that she died, Deborah wrote her son, who was moving out of the family home, a note telling him he would be missed.
Today I lost my best friend. I was lucky enough to have 21 years with you but I know you’ll be waiting for me with big open arms. I’ll never forget the things you taught me, how to laugh, how to be strong, how to be honest, and most of all how to love. Rest In Peace momma pic.twitter.com/BaJR5Bp1SN

Thomas never saw the note as it was the same day his mum passed away.
"I'm going to miss you a lot," the note read.
"I love you."
In tribute to his "best friend", Thomas decided to get the note tattooed on his chest, in his mum's exact handwriting.
"I had my tattoo artist copy the words with all the imperfections because you can see how hard she tried to write that note … it means the world to me," he told Buzzfeed.
My mom wrote me a note the day I moved out / the same day she passed, (also with her real last heartbeat). She lost mobility in her hands from her previous cardiac arrest so some people may see the words as messy but it’s beyond perfect in my eyes. I love you so much momma pic.twitter.com/8ZKBkeVrlH

But that wasn't all he did.
Finding Deborah's last heartbeats on her Fitbit, he decided to get that tattooed on his chest as well.
"My mom wrote me a note the day I moved out / the same day she passed, (also with her real last heartbeat). She lost mobility in her hands from her previous cardiac arrest so some people may see the words as messy but it’s beyond perfect in my eyes. I love you so much momma," he wrote on Twitter.
Following his tweet, Twitter users were quick to let him know just how lovely his gesture is.
I wish I saved a note or something from my mom so I could have done this

this is bittersweetly beautiful. your strong love for her surely shows and shines so far above that i’ve no doubt she’s still feeling it right now. rest in peace to a lovely lady who clearly gave birth to an equally-as-lovely lad.

That might be one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen. So sorry for your loss x
