'So healing': Couple throw massive birthday parties for homeless kids
After Mary Davis and her husband Ari Kadin went through the pain of two miscarriages, they decided that they wanted something good to come out of their situation.
Worthy of Love is what they created; a charity that throws birthday parties for kids who are homeless.
Every month, the married couple host a big event in downtown Los Angeles to celebrate the birthday of any kids who are not in a position to do so themselves.
Such a sweet idea!
According to CBS News, “so many children in Skid Row needed to feel important and loved,” Mary said.
“We didn't’t realise how much joy they were going to bring us, and that was so healing for me.”
The charity has be up and running since January 2013.
Their website explains that, ''we celebrate the birthday of any child born that month and all the other children and parents are also invited to attend. There are games, party favours and Skiddy Cat visits every party to dole out hugs, high fives and dance moves. The residents of the shelter step into a world filled with love, laughter, acceptance and possibility.''

Attendance has grown in the parties over the past six years, with numbers jumping from fifteen to around 200 guests per celebration now.
In a lovely turn of events, Mary and Ari have since been blessed with a child of their own, however they have no plans to stop their mission of love any time soon.
