The surprising ingredient that makes chicken nuggets addictive
Kids are funny little creatures, and their taste in food never ceases to amaze us.
One thing that totally blows our mind is their genuine love of store-bought chicken nuggets, that you buy in the frozen food section.
Well, apparently there is a valid scientific reason why kids love nuggets, but won't look twice at delicious roast chicken.
According to food journalist Jenna Wolfe and the ever-wise Dr. Oz, sugar is yet again the root of the problem.
Jennifer told Popsugar that "there's sugar in a lot of these nuggets, which you might not think of being in a savoury food like this."
"Sugar is a way these nuggets hook you into craving them" she continued.
Jennifer also explained that sugar may not be obvious on the ingredients list, and "can be disguised as evaporated cane juice or evaporated corn syrup."
Damn you sugar… ruining the fun for everyone as usual!
