Paddington Bear comes to life through a Pomeranian dog
We see a lot of cute dogs on the Internet, but we think this pup has taken the biscuit.
Bertram The Pomeranian has been transformed into Paddington Bear and we can't get enough of it.
His owner, Kathy Grayson ensured that her adorable pooch had the trademark red hat and blue coat.
The resemblance between Bertram and Paddington is just uncanny.
Kathy wrote next to the amazing picture; "So my Halloween costume arrived a few months early, tho makes a pretty fun fetch toy for now."
Honestly, the dog has won Halloween and possibly every costume competition.
People online have had similar reactions and have reposted and liked the picture over 52,000 times.
Kathy explained the bear-looking dog came into her life after being rehomed from a shelter in Oklahoma.
The pup now lives in New York and coming up with a suitable name proved difficult, until his mum decided to honour Bertie Wooster from PG Wodehouse’s Jeeves And Wooster novels.
“I called him ‘Puppy Bear’ for months until I settled on a name, Bertie,” Kathy told the Press Association.
“By the time his adult fur grew in and he was fully grown, it was obvious that Bertie was the cutest guy in the world. People would stop us on the street all the time, and in NYC people usually don’t do that too much, so the power was real."
“I had to create his own Instagram page for him because my art gallery page has to post paintings and sell art, and people just wanted to see Bert."
Plenty of her followers had commented that Bert held a likeness to the Marmalade-adoring bear, so Kathy decided to watch the movies.
After seeing the film, his owner caved and bought the costume from Etsy.
“It fit him perfectly,” she added. “Now I just need a little suitcase and some galoshes and I will really have a bear on my hands here.”
Looks, after all are only skin deep, and this is true for little Bert as his personality is really what Kathy loves most about her pet.
“He is so calm and chill; he is just a funny, thoughtful, alert little friend. He doesn’t bite, almost never barks, he just stares and stares and smiles and romps," she explained.
The-five-year old dog knows how to rock the big apple style by pulling off bow ties and t-shirts.
However, even though we have to contain ourselves from wanting to cuddle him all day long, he is a normal dog underneath the fur and enjoys swimming and playing.
Kathy has only lovely things to say about her little man.
She said: “At all times of day, having Bert with me is just a constant joy, I feel grateful every day, multiple times a day, to have this wonderful being here with me.”
