'No one tells you about the moments you want to bash your face against the wall'
The trials and tribulations of motherhood.
We're well aware of the wonderful aspects of parenting, and the sheer joy our children bring us when they enter our world.
We become their mothers, their protectors, their idol, their shoulder to lean on and most of all their best friend.
But life is never plain sailing – there are moments when we break from the usual routine of family life because we need silence.
This is the part of motherhood which people tend to forget.
The part where sometimes you just want to 'bash your face against the wall'.
But we can always rely on Tova Leigh for her honesty on every aspect of parenting, even the parts we don't want to talk about.
The mum-of-three was listening to her daughters bickering at the breakfast table.
It was nothing much, just the usual sibling squabble, but it got too much, the mum began to feel the tears coming.
Welling up, Tova reveals: "I am just so tired. Tired of trying, tired of falling, tired of the guilt, tired of the fighting and tired of being someone's something."
"I just want to be me for five minutes, alone in my bed under the covers and not hear the moaning, the complaining and the word "MUMMY" every two seconds. No one tells you this."
Tova sat there, sipping her tea, trying her best to keep herself together, leaving the kitchen before she would burst into tears.
"So I'm hiding in the bathroom now with the door shut feeling sorry for myself, trying not to cry. And I know it's just a phase, I know tomorrow will be better, but right now I'm doing this and I may even get myself a bar of chocolate later and throw myself a real pity party."
Because motherhood is hard, you deserve the chocolate, you deserve to have that time alone in the bathroom.
"Boy does this motherhood business suck sometimes. I mean, it's the most AMAZING thing ever and I wouldn't trade it for the world, but it f**king sucks sometimes."
And it is OK to admit that it does, Tova has taught us that it is more than OK, we need to be there for one another mums, through the good times and the tough times.
