Mum's EPIC excuse when son misses school for Harry Potter World

Ahhh this is brilliant!  

Parenting goals right here – the way we see it, if you’re going to miss school, what better reason is there than visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

OK, this mum did clear it with the school first, but perhaps an automatic letter goes out when there’s an absence, because she still was sent an ‘attendance behaviour plan’.

And because she’s clearly the coolest mum ever, she decided to fill it in anyway – in an epic fashion.

When asked to specify why her child wasn’t in school she replied, “Student was learning Defence Against the Dark Arts”.

Well as far as we’re concerned that’s a rock solid excuse!

While when prompted as to what they were doing to rectify the poor attendance, she responded, “No concern anymore. He passed his O.W.L.S and his N.E.W.T.S.”

The form was shared on Reddit by the mum’s sister with the caption, “My nephew missed 3 days of school to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Afterward, the school made my sister fill out this “attendance behaviour improvement” plan.”

“Is he going to get expellediarmus now?” said one witty commenter.

While another added, “Your sister is awesome!”

Gotta love a Harry Potter mad mum!
