Mum told to move seats after her baby started crying on flight was NOT expecting this
Ever find yourself embarrassed when your children kick off on the plane and you can’t get them to stop crying?
Apart from trying to comfort and distract them, there is very little you can do in such a confined space – and it can be easy to get overwhelmed as you try not to disturb other passengers.
Well, this wonderful story that was shared on the Love What Matters Facebook Page will definitely restore your faith in humanity again.
Florida native Carrie Jaboor was on a Southwest Airlines flight when a baby in front of her started crying. The youngster’s mum struggled to settle her, and that’s when a flight attendant decided something needed to be done.
"My heart…there was a mother and her two young girls in front of me on the plane and the baby suddenly had a very loud crying fit that wouldn't stop,” Carrie wrote on Facebook.
“This Southwest employee asked the mother to come to the back of the plane with him. I looked back and saw him blowing bubbles for the little girl until she stopped crying as he was also giving tissues to the mother and consoling her as she was crying too.
“There are some seriously kind people in this world."
The post, which quickly went viral, has been inundated with comments of praise for the flight attendant, and many users took the opportunity to share their own experiences with Southwest.
Debbie Earle was one such person and she applauded the airline for the kindness shown to both herself and her son when visiting his dying father.
Debbie’s flight from Atlanta was delayed due to mechanical issues and therefore failed to make her connecting flight in Baltimore. Debbie informed the desk clerk of her predicament and how her son badly needed to see his father before he passed.
“[The clerk] put us on a plane to Portland Maine at no extra cost, cancelled my rental car for me and got a skycap to take us to the other terminal so we wouldn’t miss the flight,” Debbie explained.
“She even changed our return flight for us right then so we could concentrate on more important things.”
