Mum thanks stranger for helping her remember there are HEROES in the world
Mum-of-two Trish O’Neill has posted an online message to the stranger who helped her when she needed it most.
The mum was out shopping with her tots when her autistic son Conor had a meltdown.
But trying to soothe her son, push her daughter in the buggy AND carry bags of shopping, all while pregnant with her third baby; things just got a bit too much for Trish.
The mum dropped to the floor saying: “I was panicked and in tears, as was [Conor] and my little girl….I couldn't catch anyone's eye to ask for help.”
However, she didn’t have to catch anyone’s eye, because her hero spotted her across the street anyhow.
A lady, who Trish says clearly had her hands full, came over to help.
The kind lady helped Mum wheel her buggy and calm her son until they got to their car.
Trish, feeling compelled to thank the kind stranger explained the post was not an ‘autism is hard’ or ‘poor me’ post but she simply wanted to say:
“I just want to recognise that in a world full of mobile phone addicts, people only interested in themselves and material things, in a world gone very wrong – there are HEROS.”
“And I met one today.”
Trish shared that all she did was hug her, but she wishes she did more.
We think that hug was the 'thank you' her hero wanted.
