Mum is constantly asked about her kids’ education so she decides to set the story straight

Whether you send your child to mainstream school or decide to home-school, the most important thing is your kid gets an education.

And while it is up to the parents themselves, some people take it upon themselves to judge others for their choices.

Sadly, that is something Andrew and Hannah have experienced after they decided to teach their two children – Jaedyn and Caspian – at home.

However, after receiving plenty of questions concerning their kids' education, the parents decided to take to YouTube to set the record straight.

"We both went to public, we both home-schooled and we went to private school," they explained.

"So we have a lot of respect for all forms of education, educational options.

"Home-school has got a stereotype: not socialising, doesn't hang out with people, they don't go to actual classes. But home-school is way different – at least the way we do it.

Continuing, they explained: "The reason we don't send our kids to a private school or a public school is really because we found that they were learning a whole lot better through areas of interest, specifically."

For instance their daughter Jaedyn learned to read out of her own interest and after seeing her parents read.

"She was interested in the books."

Describing their teaching method, Andrew says they call it 'loose home-school'; the kids don't have to get up at a certain time nor do they have to sit down at a desk.

They want to be able to create a fun learning environment.

However, the kids are part of a co-op and do attend school all day on Monday so they have that classroom experience.

"Ultimately our goal is to be as sensitive as we can to the way that they learn and then providing them with those points of interests specifically to learning."

Fair play to the parents for doing exactly what they believe in.
