Mum in 'false labour' gives birth 11 weeks early - at HOME
Zakeria Richardsone-Flory was expecting her fourth child when she started to feel contractions, 11 weeks early.
Doctors told her it was just false labour and sent her home from hospital.
The "false labour" continued for three days.
Less than a week later, while Zakeria was home with her husband, John, things started to move very fast.
The mum-of-four had been through labour three times before so she knew what was happening.
Zakeria also knew that she wouldn't make it to the hospital on time, so John called 911.
Knowing they were about to have a home delivery, the couple were hoping the dispatcher could offer advice on what they should do – but their baby wouldn't wait!
"I was on the phone with an emergency dispatcher," John told KDKA.
"He's trying to talk us through everything. Before I could say anything else, we're holding him in our arms."
Baby Jahkiye was a tiny 3lbs 1oz when he arrived but is said to be doing well.
Well done to Mum and Dad, this is definitely a birth story that will no doubt be told over and over again!
