Mum gives birth to her third child... and doctors are shocked by how big he is

When Arthur Keisler and Cindy Richmond found out they were expecting their third child, they were not anticipating their little boy to be not so little.

Baby Collin came into the world at a whopping 14 pounds!

The record breaking baby was born at Lexington Medical Centre on Friday, 23rd June; he is the biggest baby recalled by the hospital since its opening in 1971.

Colin's parents were shocked by his 24 inch length.

They, unsurprisingly, had no clothes that would fit him, and at four days old, he was wearing clothes for age six months!

Football fan Arthur hopes his son's size will be put to good use with a possible football career: “

We see playing football as a lineman for Clemson and the Green Bay Packers,” he told Lexington.

The parents' two other children weighed seven pounds and nine pounds at birth so Colin's weight was totally unexpected.

However, they did think this baby would be a bit bigger because of how uncomfortable Cindy was throughout the final few months of her pregnancy… but his actual size came as a total surprise:

“When he was born, it was an ‘Oh My God!’ moment.” Cindy recalled.

On the hospital's blog, nurse Donna Hinton said that she had never witnessed such a huge birth weight.

“I’ve been an obstetrics nurse for 29 years, but I’ve never seen a 14-pound baby,” she said.
