Mum does something remarkable after her husband passes away... and it's both heartbreaking and beautiful
You will need a few tissues for this one.
When Julie Money woke up one sunny Sunday, she had no idea that her life was about to change forever.
Despite having a headache, her husband, Jeff, followed his usual routine, including taking their daughter, Grace, for a bike ride.
Throughout it all his headache persisted until he collapsed at lunch and was rushed to hospital.
Sadly, Jeff never came home as he died of a massive bleed in his brain stem.
A few months after his death, Grace felt like she was starting to forget him, Julie explains in a blog post on Kidspot.
So, in a bid to help her 10-year-old daughter remember her father, Julie started the Amazing Grace web series.
"Someone as important as her dad could not be forgotten," she explained in the post.
"Even though he wasn’t here with us every day we needed to keep his memory, his great character, his passion for life, alive.
"That is how the “amazing Grace” web series came about. I wanted to commemorate and celebrate Jeff by telling stories about a great storyteller and a fantastic dad."
The series is both heartbreaking and beautiful as it shows a young girl navigating her way through life with her father by her side – even after he has passed away.
The episodes are written by both Julie and Grace, with some of Jeff's colleagues also contributing to the series.
Grace also wrote the songs.
A truly heartbreaking story, but the strength that both Julie and Grace have is simply beautiful.
"Now, whenever Grace gets stuck she thinks about what he would do."
