Man saves baby rabbit from California wildfires - becomes the hero we all need

Right now Californians are experiencing utter devastation; more than 100,000 acres of land have been destroyed, a state of emergency has been declared in San Diego and 200,000 people had to be evacuated from their homes. 

However, in all their heartbreak and panic, the true spirit of the human race is coming through, as can be seen in this wonderful video which is currently going viral. 

A video shared on KRON4's Facebook page shows a man running along the highway in Ventura County. As the fire rages in front of him, he can be seen jumping around, clearly looking for something. 

And then it becomes clear: the unidentified man is trying to rescue a baby rabbit.

Running up and down the strip, the man tries to get the rabbit to go over to him.

And for a split second it looks like the bunny runs straight into the fire. 

Thankfully, the man manages to get the rabbit in his arms and take him to safety. 

This man absolutely deserves to be recognised for his incredible bravery.
