Man becomes lottery millionaire thanks to stranger's kind act

It looks like good manners do actually pay off!

Arron Walshaw was a man desperate to buy a Lotto Millionaire Raffle ticket.

Just before it closed, the 32-year-old dropped into a shop in Osset, West Yorkshire, and joined the queue behind a woman who was already at the cashier.

The woman ahead of him soon realised that he was quite anxious, so she offered to let him go ahead of her.

He bought a ticket for the raffle, thanked her and left…with two minutes to spare.

You can guess what happened next.

Arron and his fiancee, Cheri Hall, went about life as normal the following day.

Later on, they checked their lottery app not expecting anything – and saw that they had scooped £1,000,000 ($1,305,000)!

According to the Good News Network, 23-year-old Cheri said, ''we had lots of pennies lying around the house and we just decided that evening to count up how many we had.''

“We were chuffed when we worked out we had over £50 in pennies. That was going to be used to go camping. But that was all blown out of the water when we later checked our ticket.”

Wow!

Arron says he owes their amazing win to the generous stranger who let him go ahead in the queue.

“What a stroke of luck that turned out to be,” Arron said.

“I don’t think I would have been in time to buy my ticket if she hadn't let me go first. We would love to meet her again and say thank you for changing our lives.”

It's incredible what a simple act of kindness can do!
