Man, 94, walks to the local school EVERY morning for the sweetest reason
Every morning, 94-year-old Wally Richardson gets up early, has his breakfast and heads off to the local middle school.
Once he reaches Marina Village Middle School, California, the US Navy veteran waits outside the entrance for the kids to arrive, something that he has been doing for the past ten years.
But he doesn't just wave them into class; the 94-year-old gives each pupil a fist pump as well as some inspirational and important advice.
Talking about the veteran, who has lovingly been nicknamed Mr Knuckles, one pupil told Inside Edition that seeing him in the morning is the best part of her day, and everyone agrees with her.
"He’s like an angel; you can’t help but feel calm and peace when you go near him," explained one mum.
But Wally didn't always walk to school on his own. His wife used to accompany him on his journey but as she is unable to walk the distance, Wally goes alone.
The elderly man just wants to spread kindness and positivity to the pupils and from the looks of it, he is certainly doing that.
What a wonderful, sweet gesture.
