Liffey Valley pledge donation to St. Vincent de Paul this Christmas
This Christmas, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, one of Ireland’s largest shopping and leisure destinations, will host an array of festive activities for the whole family to enjoy, including the inaugural Liffey Valley Christmas market as well as a FREE Santa Experience.
Liffey Valley’s Western Plaza has been transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland where local vendors are showcasing a range of gifting ideas, selling mouth-watering festive treats and unique decorative crafts. Curated in support of local and independent businesses, indulgent baked creations from The Drunken Cookie and stocking fillers for your favourite furry pal from popular Irish pet accessory brand Pawfect by Jake, are just some of the stalls shoppers can expect to enjoy at this special Christmas experience.
Supported by Sing Ireland, Santa Claus will be arriving in the Centre at 10am on Saturday 3rd December, giving families the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable Christmas tradition for FREE. Little shoppers will have their picture taken with Santa, before being invited to express post their letter to the North Pole for the chance to win a €500.00 voucher for the Centre. Liffey Valley is also donating €5 to charity partners The Society of St Vincent De Paul (SVP) on behalf of each and every family that attends*, helping those in their local community forced to make impossible choices this Christmas.
Commenting on the Liffey Valley Christmas Experience, Denis O’Connell, Centre Director at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre said; “We’re delighted to be kicking off the seasonal celebrations here in Liffey Valley with news of our exciting Christmas market. This is a great platform for local and independent businesses to showcase their offering, while delivering a truly memorable experience to our customers – complimenting the range of choice we’re offering shoppers right across the Centre.
“In the midst of what is a difficult time for so many, we hope that our donation to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul on behalf of customers visiting our free Santa experience, will help the organisation deliver supports to local families most in need over the coming weeks and would like to take this opportunity to wish all our visitors a safe and happy Christmas.”
Committed to delivering the very best retail and leisure experience, Liffey Valley recently celebrated the arrival of designer sunglass specialists Sunglass Hut and the launch of the all-new Dylan Oaks Jewellery store – a premium local Irish brand which launched its very first pop-up in the Centre back in 2021. With something for the whole family at every price point from designer brands to luxe beauty sets, soak in the Christmas spirit as you shop the shelves in any one of Liffey Valley’s 80 exciting stores including Zara, Gym + Coffee, Rituals, Skechers, Dyson and Boots.
In addition to the free Santa experience and the Christmas market, The SVP Giving Tree will also be returning to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, giving customers the chance to make their own valuable donations to those most in need. Launching on December 1st, with a live performance from Clondalkin Youth Band, shoppers can expect to enjoy weekly entertainment with live music, magicians and stilt walkers taking to the mall every Thursday in the lead up to the big day.
