Life-changing? So what's all the FUSS about 'golden milk'?
When we hear a buzz about a drink that has the potential to “change our lives” of course we’re going to research it further! And before you ask, nope, it’s not prosecco.
The ethereal sounding ‘golden milk’ is the latest health hit on the Internet, so we want to fill you in on why this is AND how to make it yourself.
Golden milk’s main ingredient is turmeric, the orangey brown spice that’s oft-lauded as having more health benefits than you can shake a stick at.
And it’s true; the wonder spice has numerous healing effects on the body: it’s anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic and antiseptic. And as well as this, it detoxifies the body, regulates the metabolism and regulates blood pressure.
Pretty impressive for something you chuck into your curry without thinking about it.
And those in the know say a glass of warming golden milk each evening will help you reap all the benefits turmeric has to offer. The yellow-coloured drink is served warm, and sweetened with honey and cinnamon (so you don’t feel like you’re drinking a Rogan Josh), and is super easy to throw together.
