Lent: 14 things we are definitely NOT giving up this year. At all.
So, Lent will hit with a bang tomorrow when we realise that the chocolate croissant our body is craving for breakfast is totally out of the question.
However, while we may be saying goodbye to our favourite sweet treats, there are a few things we DEFINITELY won't be giving up.
14 things to be precise.
1. Our phone
Don't even go there.
2. Social media
Hey, that's where are friends live.
3. Coronation Street
We can't get this far and not find out what happens between Steve and Michelle.
4. Eating the last biscuit out of the tin
Hell, we bought them.
5. Watching Say Yes to the Dress
We may not be getting married, but that doesn't mean we can't live vicariously through other people.
6. Jelly and ice cream
Life is already hard enough without having to WATCH the kids eat ice cream while you drool at the mouth.
7. Wearing fake tan
Not that we're going anywhere, but no one knows that…
8. Doritos
They are the only thing we look forward to on Friday nights.
9. Driving to the shops
It's hard to do an 'in and out job' unless you're in the car.
10. Pizza
They're just way too easy to pop in the oven to be giving them up for 40 days.
11. Wine
Don't even.
12. Long hot showers
When we get them… they're so worth the need to leave the immersion on for five hours.
13. Coffee
Our Monday morning saviour.
14. Netflix
If there was no Netflix, there'd be no 'date night' (if you can even call sitting on either end of the couch, scrolling through Facebook a date…) and we all know how important that is.
