It's happening: A ‘Baby Shark’ TV show is coming to Netflix

It's been an unexpected global hit.

While some people aren't big fans of the catchy tune about a family of sharks, it's about to take over a lot more than just your radio station.

Netflix has announced that its set to get a TV show as the creators of the viral children’s song announced that the new cartoon series will premiere this spring. 

According to Bloomberg, one of the founders of SmartStudy Co.’s Pinkfong, the Korean educational entertainment company is “planning to release short videos via Netflix Inc., a cartoon series and a musical in North America this year.”

The song went viral on social media in June 2016, and has now gotten more than two billion views – that means that it is one of the top 30 most-watched videos in the history of YouTube. 

Seungkyu Lee, chief financial officer of SmartStudy, said, ''If you’ve ever heard of ‘Baby Shark,’ you might feel the importance of community. In a group, we should walk or swim together.”

The show ill be on screens sometime in March 2019 so get your kids excited now.
