'Hero': Homeless man praised for saving two children from burning building
Anival Angulo was most definitely in the right place at the right time recently, and deserves a medal for his heroic actions.
The homeless man was in an eastside neighbourhood when he saw smoke coming from an apartment.
Not thinking about his own safety, he jumped a locked gate and even managed to bend the bar on a security door to get it open.

"Anival Angulo, 36 of Las Vegas who is currently homeless, was walking by the apartment building and noticed smoke from the building and went around to see what it was," Las Vegas Fire and Rescue wrote on their Facebook page.
"He then heard the children crying, he jumped a locked gate into the complex and found smoke coming out the security door. He saw the little girl standing near the door in the smoke filled apartment."

"She could not open the door, so Angulo starting pulling on the steel door and was able to bend it upward. As he was pulling up, the dead-bolt lock unlatched and the door opened."
"The little girl ran to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. He could see through the smoke the leg of an infant on the floor. He reached down and pulled the infant out."
According to the post, there were three children in the house at the time. Their grandfather was in the back bedroom when the fire broke out.
The kitchen and living room were destroyed and there was heavy heat and smoke damage done to the rest of the home. Thankfully, however, both kids – aged 10-months and three years – were fine.
What an incredibly selfless man; well done, Anival.
