Fun things to do with the kids this Easter midterm
With no school for two weeks, many mums will be scratching their heads trying to think of ways to keep their little ones entertained.
Thankfully, there are plenty of things happening over the next couple of weeks that will keep the kids happy.
1. Easter Egg Challenge, Co. Cork
Falconry, magic shows and make-and-do are just some of the activities on offer on Friday, 30th March at Old Cork Waterworks Experience during the Easter Egg Challenge to support city and county primary schools.
A fantastic family fun day out is guaranteed as children undertake a treasure hunt to solve clues on the way to finding a secret egg depot. The Easter Bunny has left an egg for everyone who completes the challenge and will bring friends to entertain on the day.
The Easter Egg Challenge will run from 10.00am – 4.00pm. Tickets are €5 per child and are available here. Adults go free.
2. Cadbury's Easter Egg Hunt, Co. Dublin
The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt in aid of Barnardos takes place this year in Merrion Square, Dublin 2 on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st March.
The city centre park will once again be transformed into a chocolatey children’s playground with an interactive Easter egg hunt at the heart of it. There will also be a kids’ céilí and family yoga as well as art and craft workshops. But that's not all. There will be real life rabbits there to pet and play with and learn about what they eat and how they jump so high.
Families can choose from a morning slot (10:30am-1pm) or an afternoon slot (2pm – 4:30pm) on the Friday and Saturday.

3. Easter Eggtravaganza, Moher Farm Open Farm, Co. Clare
There will be an Easter egg hunt and fun and games for all the family, including face painting, egg and spoon races and the most popular three legged races.
Pose for a photograph with the Easter Bunny or for the tiny tots take part in the ‘Under 5’s Easter Egg Hunt’. Easter at Moher Hill Farm is a treat for families and is a day not to be missed.

4. Easter Fun at Castlecomer Discovery Park, Co. Kilkenny
Castlecomer Discovery Park have organised two full weeks of active fun from Saturday, 24th March to Sunday, 8th April to celebrate the arrival of spring and Easter holidays!
The ever-popular Easter Woodland Hunt is back again, and families will get to explore the magical Elf and Fairy village as they hunt for clues. Suitable for children up to 10, this is the perfect way to get a day of fresh air and screen-free fun. The trail is available every day for the Easter holidays and is €10 per family.
On Saturday, 31st March Cásca sa Choill celebrates craft and the natural world in quirky event domes located at the Elf and Fairy village. There will be wood turners, knitters and felters amongst those that will give demonstrations of their crafts. They will be joined by a number of groups that promote biodiversity and embrace the natural world such as the Mid Kilkenny Bee Keepers Association.
