Firefighter gets called out to an emergency, but comes home with a newborn baby
When firefighter Marc Hadden got called out to an emergency in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, he had no idea it was going to change his life forever.
Marc responded to the call with his fellow colleagues, and when they arrived on the scene they quickly realised a woman was in a labour.
Immediately the firefighters put the woman on oxygen and bundled her into the ambulance, only to realise they didn't have time to get going, the baby was on its way there and then.
A baby girl was born and handed to Marc until they arrived at the hospital.
Rebecca Grace Hadden, who is mainly known as Gracie, came into Marc’s world on that night, and she never left it.
Marc learned in the hospital the newborn’s biological mother was giving her baby up for adoption.
Marc and his wife Beth had been praying for a third baby to add to their family and believed that this special delivery was a sign.
Two days later, the couple brought little Gracie home to become a part of the family and meet her two older brothers Will and Parker.
The Hadden family was finally complete.
This story has us in awe, proof that happiness can come from the most unlikely places.
