Family dog saves his young owner who got trapped in a dryer
A family dog named Teddy recently saved his young owners life, proving that canines really are man's best friend.
Teddy started barking loudly when the dryer machine with five-year-old Riley, who has Down syndrome, trapped inside.
Young Riley's father, Aaron Duffy, told The Guardian that his "wife was upstairs hoovering at the time and the dog ran upstairs and basically went berserk so she knew something was not right".
Aaron said that his wife went downstairs to discover that her son was trapped inside the dryer, which had been on for a couple of minutes.
"She pulled Riley out and started pouring cold water over him. I arrived home about 40 seconds later, stripped him and took him into the shower to cover him in cold water," he continued to explain.
Riley was rushed to Ulster hospital in Dundonald where he is expected to receive a CT scan very soon.
"He's doing very well, apart from the burns and bruising to the head. But he is in good enough form and is getting back to his old self" Aaron said of his son's condition.
Aaron and his wife spoke about how thankful they are to have had Teddy, who saved their son's life.
