Fair play! Why this mum is OWNING her post-partum body

We LOVE this mum’s empowering message about her postpartum body: I like it, I’m proud of what it has achieved, and I’ve NO intention of slimming down anytime soon.

Simple as that! And you know what? Why should it be any more complicated?

The mum posted an image of her body two weeks after baby on Instagram account momma_moonflower, and accompanied it with a caption we think perfectly shuts down the pressure put on mums’ bodies.

2 weeks postpartum. I feel very confident in my skin after this baby. Probably more so than I did with my first two & with them at this time I weighed less, had less cellulite & all my postpartum clothes fit again. Right now I somehow completely lost my butt, which has never happened. I've always had a huge butt. I have that tummy flab, cellulite through the roof & I still can't wear any of my jeans. But I feel good about my appearance. I have no intention of doing anything about anything for quite a while. For one because I'm removing still & two because I'm nursing two, but mainly because why should I? There is nothing wrong with my body right now. According to the bogus BMI chart I'm a bit over weight, but I don't see that when I look in the mirror. Honestly I don't think I've ever been more comfortable about how my tummy looks, even before pregnancy period. I just feel really awesome. I'm really proud of myself for so much. I feel empowered. I feel the way I think I always should have after having a baby. I'm glad I'm able to have these beautiful thoughts & feelings about myself. Who better to have them about. #4thtrimester #postpartum #stopcensoringmotherhood #csectionrecovery

However, despite the, the mum feels good about her appearance, and we adore her reasoning.

“I have no intention of doing anything about anything for quite a while,” she says. “For one because I'm removing still and two because I'm nursing, but mainly because why should I? You go mama! We think you look absolutely beautiful too. And those Star Wars undies? Lovin' them.
