Everyone is LOVING this mum's 'hot-mess' Facebook post
Being a mum is a tough aul job: you've got to keep the house in some kind of order, make sure the kids are well fed, their clothes are clean and they're mannerly in front of their grandparents.
But we're all in the same boat – we're all winging it as best we can, which is what makes the post shared on the Facebook page Where ths Eff is my Handbook so relatable!
Danielle Silverstein and Farrah Maliavsky, who run the page, shared a post paying tribute to all the "hot-mess mums".
"Ok, full disclosure: I really AM a hot-mess mom," they wrote.
"I am consistently five steps behind where I should be in the world of responsible adulting. Like, for real.
"Never once have I thought to myself, “OMG, I think I’m actually tackling this whole parenthood thing.”
The post continues:
"I am that mom who doesn’t do dishes at night before I go to bed. I do dishes when I get around to doing dishes.
"I’m that mom who grabs her kids’ clothes out of the dryer in the morning because nothing is folded and put away.
"I’m that mom who forgets to send in forms and gets calls reminding me that, yes, I need to send in those forms.
"I’m that mom who misses a birthday party or an appointment from time to time because I forgot to put it in my calendar."
Not surprisingly, fellow mums were quick to thank the mums for sharing the post, with many admitting they too are "hot-mess mums".
"Yes I was a hot mess mom and continuing as a grandmom. Life is for living!" wrote one.
Another said: " Thanks for sharing this. Always nice to know I'm not the only hot mess around."
So, are you a "hot-mess mum"?
