Pregnancy

Everyone is loving this mum's honest post about her pregnancy

Pregnancy is a wonderful, joyful time for every mum, right? Wrong.

While all mums-to-be may be delighted at the prospect of meeting their baby, not all are as equally as enamoured at the actually pregnancy part.

In fact, for some soon-to-be-mums, the entire nine months can be full of bad skin, morning sickness and worry.

Which is why blogger Rhiannon Abrahams' latest post is being applauded by women everywhere.

The Australian took to Instagram to share two pictures of her at 16 and 26 weeks, and admit that she has not been having an easy time of it.

26 & 16 weeks  Honestly I don't 'love' being pregnant, all I want to say is "oh I love it it's so beautiful!" But it just doesn't feel that way (please don't get me wrong, I feel so grateful and blessed I can get pregnant) and I want nothing more than to love it, but I just don't. I don't like the changes, the hormones, the pain, not feeling as independent etc… I was afraid to say that to people because it seemed 'wrong' and I'm a little afraid to be saying it on here as well, but when I started being honest with some other mums, they opened up and it made me feel a lot better and normal! I almost felt like a bad mum already. If you are feeling this way, you are not alone, it's just not spoken about as much and all I'm doing now is sharing with you honestly about how I feel so hopefully I can make some other mums feel normal too Im jealous of women who love it! The only thing I LOVE is the feeling of this baby, every time I feel a kick or movement it feels 100 percent worth it all and makes me so happy! I just can't wait to meet you bubs! Keep cooking for now  14 weeks to go  #pregnant #26weeks

“I don't like the changes, the hormones, the pain, not feeling as independent."

Admitting to feeling afraid to say anything, she continued:

“If you are feeling this way, you are not alone, it's just not spoken about as much and all I'm doing now is sharing with you honestly about how I feel so hopefully other mums feel normal too”.

And the mum has received nothing but positive praise, with many relating to her post.

"Thank you for sharing, you're not alone in feeling this way," she wrote. "As beautiful as the result is the journey isn't necessarily as beautiful."
