DisneyLife has landed and we're too excited to control ourselves
Brace yourselves, because today is the day Disney's digital entertainment service DisneyLife has finally landed on our shores.
We have been waiting upon a service like this for quite some time, and now that it's here we can't contain our excitement – we're picturing cosy nights by the fire, and frighteningly quiet children.
The service will allow you watch re-runs of your all time Disney favourites including, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, The Jungle Book and even Pirates of the Caribbean, from the comfort of your own sitting room.
Allowing you to stream and download from Disney’s largest collection of movies, kids’ TV box sets, books and music in the one place, will make life a whole lot easier for families, and if you nod off in the middle of a film, never fear you can catch up later.
And that's not even the best part, because you can even watch the movies anywhere, while on the go. Can you imagine how much easier those long-haul car journeys would be with a classic movie on for the kids?
The kids can even catch-up on their favourite TV shows with live streaming of Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior available from the app, and with unlimited download options we'll be bowled over by how many episodes of Doc McStuffen there actually are.
The list of things to choose from is just endless, and we have a feeling the kids will catch onto the hang of it just as quickly as we will.
It's simple to use too, as all you have to do is download from the App store, Google Play or the Amazon Appstore, moreover, the multi-user family account is a standard €6.99 per month, which allows you to watch on your TV or those iPads the kids never seem leave out of their hands.
Up to six family members can create their own profile across 10 devices, and our favourite is the fact parents have the power to set controls, which include time limits for weekday and weekend usage for the kids.
Also included in the line-up is a magical storytelling venture, where the little ones can choose from over 250 stories, available in audio books or ebooks, or as a read-a-long option for our developing toddlers.
The entertainment service has been available in the UK for two years, and we're more than happy to see it introduced on our shores – behold the Disney theme slumber parties which are about to take over!
To be honest mums, we couldn't think of anything better, especially coming toward the dark winter evenings, however, as Disney fans in general we can't wait to sit in with the kids too.
Although we have a feeling there could be a debate over Moana versus Pocahontas and Frozen versus The Jungle Book. Lives made. We may actually enjoy this more than the kids.
