Dad's letter to son's teacher proves we're never really on top of things
Adam Silverman was home alone with the kids when he realised that no matter how much of a good job you think you're doing, something will definitely go wrong!
Adam's wife Danielle had been away for two days when the father was forced to write a letter to his son Jonah's teacher, after destroying his homework.
Sharing a picture of the letter to the school on Facebook, Danielle, who blogs at Where the Eff is my Handbook, wrote:
"Day 2 of me being away….my husband already 'moved his clip down'."
In the note, Adam explained that he had been doing a good job with the kids while his wife was away, and was, in fact, "extremely proud" of himself.
He had got the kids' bags for school ready the night before so that there would be no rush or confusion in the morning.
However, this is where the problem started…
Explaining the situation, Adam continued:
"So it goes, Jonah's water bottle leaked all over his homework and spelling book. As you can see, it's completely ruined and you should blame me, not Jonah.
"I've moved my own clip down already, so there's no need for you to do so.
"Please let me know if I should purchase a new book, or if a new one is provided… and again I apologise for this."
While we feel for the poor guy (he no doubt got an ear-full off Jonah) we can't help but have a giggle at the situation…
Because it makes us feel better about NEVER being on top of things!
