Dad struggles to calm crying baby... so he reaches for his wife's dirty shirt

Trying to figure out why your baby is upset is usually a matter of elimination: are they wet, dirty, tired, hungry or just lonely?

And then it is up to us to figure out how to soothe them: comfort, feed or change them.

However, this dad has figured out another way to settle his upset son… by letting him smell his mum's dirty shirt. 

The three-month-old was crying, wriggling and generally feeling unhappy recently, so his dad, who realised his son missed his mum, came up with the genius plan to let him snuggle into her clothes.

Thinking that Mum is nearby, he instantly stops crying and even manages a little smile.
