Dad sends funny text to stranger and donations suddenly start rolling in for his son
Incredible!
Tony Wood was at home when he received two photo messages from someone he had never met before.
Syd, the girl who sent the texts, was wearing a gorgeous ballgown – and was looking for a friend's opinion on the dress when she accidently sent the messages to Tony.
However, rather than ignore the messages, the father-of-six wrote back saying that while his wife was not home to ask her opinion, he and his kids thought she looked lovely in the dress.
Syd accidentally sent pics of her dress to the wrong number and this was their response pic.twitter.com/SWmcqSFiqh

"I believe this message was intended for someone else. My wife isn't home, so i couldn't get her opinion, but the kids and I think you look stunning in your dress! You should definitely go with that one!"
He then sent an adorable photo of his kids with their thumbs up.
But that's not where the story ends.
When Syd's friend Mandi Miller posted the messages to Twitter, Tony got in touch for a very special reason: he needed help raising money for his four-year-old son's leukaemia treatment.
"Hello! Apparently you have made my children Twitter famous! My 2nd youngest (not pictured, he was at chemo clinic) has a FB page for his fight against Leukaemia and one of our Prayer Warriors recognised the children!" he wrote underneath Mandi's tweet.
"Btw, my wife agreed that the dress looked great! God Bless!"
