Dad mows lawn with tornado looming behind him... because he wants to finish his to-do list

If there was an award for most dedicated gardener it would have to go to this dad, for sure! 

Theunis Wessel was out mowing the back garden in his home in Alberta, Canada on Friday last, when a tornado started swirling behind him. 

However, rather than pack up the mower, he just kept at it, determined to finish his to-do list.

His wife Cecilia had gone for a nap just as Theunis started to cut the grass.

Soon after however, she was woken up by her nine-year-old daughter, who was worried that her dad wouldn't come inside despite the twister, according to CBC News. 

Aware that her husband knew what he was doing, and just how far away the tornado was, the mum took a photo and captioned it: "My beast mowing the lawn with a breeze in his hair".

And what does Theunis have to say about the whole thing? 

"It looks much closer if you look in the photo, but it was really far away. Well, not really far, far away, but it was far away from us," he told the publication. 

"I was keeping an eye on it."
