Couple adopt 7 siblings... but there is a baby sister left that they're not allowed to take in
This is such an incredible couple.
For many of us, transitioning from one child to two was tough, so imagining going from one to SEVEN – with a teenager thrown in to really test you.
Well, that is exactly what happened to one Georgia family, who officially adopted seven siblings on May 9th.
Maria, 14, Elizabet, 11, Duillermo, 10, Jason, eight, Kristina, seven, Katerin, seven, and James, five, had been in the care of Jessaka and Joshua Clark for ten months before the couple were asked if they would adopt all at the same time.
Always wanting a big family, they didn't hesitate to say yes, giving their three-year-old biological son, Noah, seven older brothers and sisters.
However, there is still one infant sibling who needs their help, but, unfortunately, due to their house being too small, the Clarks are not allowed to take her in.Yet.
The family of ten live in a three-bedroom home with four boys in one room and the four girls in another.
However, they are not allowed to adopt any more children until they have a bigger home, according to a GoFundMe page set up to help them move house.
But, thanks to the generosity of strangers, the couple now have the means to move to a bigger home, but that doesn't mean they will automatically be able to adopt the last sibling.
"I want to share a picture with you all from a craft Kit Kat made for Mother's Day for me. She drew a picture of all of us in the family and if you look in the bottom right-hand corner you will see a particular family member that she wishes was with us," Jessaka wrote on the fundraising page.
"This is their baby sister… our kids long for her to live with us. They ask us continually when we will get to see her and if we have heard anything back. This picture hurt my heart because that isn't a reality yet.
"Thanks to your support we will be able to get into a home with more rooms to bring more children into our home, but we are not sure it will be her. We hope and we pray… but there is no way for us to know. "
What an incredible family!
