Cork, Galway, Wicklow.... Soon you won't have to leave the house to find the best food in Ireland

With the kids to care for, jobs to go to, and other things to pay for, dinner dates are few and far between for us mums.

So, whether you're time-strapped or cash-strapped, you'll love the latest offering on RTÉ Player with Chef Adrian as host.

The series Chef Adrian Eats Ireland, in association with Carr’s, is a six part online show that is dedicated to showcasing Ireland’s most popular restaurant dishes.

Following an online poll to find the best food in the country, Chef Adrian visits the winning restaurants in Cork, Galway, Wicklow, Sligo and Dublin to uncover the secrets behind their famous dishes.

After learning a few things, the chef then brings his knowledge and ideas back to his outdoor kitchen where he cooks his own unique version of the dish, together with special celebrity guests including Samantha Mumba, Jenny Dixon and comedian PJ Gallagher.

"Working on Chef Adrian Eats Ireland has been so rewarding and brings together my three great loves – food, fun and Ireland," Chef Adrian explained.

"I wanted to share my passion for quality food and show viewers that cooking, even your favourite restaurant dishes, can be made simple.

"I have always been a fan of Carr’s and am thrilled that they are on board as sponsors of my new show."

With plans to take his school tour to the UK, and his first cookbook Fake Away due for release in June, Chef Adrian is fast becoming one of Ireland’s most in-demand chefs.
